We are seeking a highly motivated senior-level IBM I systems administrator to help support our growing portfolio of hosted and remote IBM I customers. 
This position will be responsible for maintaining optimal performance and availability of the systems as well as disaster recovery (DR) planning and long-term growth strategies.

Location:

Our home office is based in Cincinnati, OH. However, we are open to hiring someone who is fully remote regardless of location. Although the position will be remote, there might be some occasional travel to ERPS facilities or customer sites.

Responsibilities:
  • Implement PTF’s, patches, upgrades, and updates for the IBM i and associated systems and software packages.
  • Manage all aspects of security on multiple IBM I machines.
  • Backup and recovery, DR planning, DR documentation, DR process audits, and DR testing (MIMIX or iTera experience required).
  • Maintain all critical SLAs for IBM i systems and services.
  • Proactive management of systems capacities and constraints.
  • Identify, diagnose and repair required break-fix issues on IBM i hardware.
  • Ensure software and IBM i management is in compliance with SAS70 regulations.
  • Documentation of standard procedural activities and duties.
  • Documentation of all activities on the IBM i systems (change controls).
Qualifications:
  • Candidate must have 5 or more years of experience with day-to-day operation and management of IBM i for medium to large installations.
  • Designing and installing hardware is a big plus.
  • Experience with IBM i PTF’s and change control procedures.
  • Experience in Client Access/ACS, IBM i Navigator, and 5250 emulation.
  • Experience working with All major version of Windows Server.
  • Ability to prioritize and multi-task in high pressure situations.
